The Monstera plant, also known as a Cut Leaf Philodendron, is a 8' plant in the studio that is the inspiration for this pillow.After tracing the size and veining, the applique is cut from a 30% hemp and 70% soy cross linen and hand stitched to a natural color backing of 55% hemp and 45% organic cotton. After adding the veining to the applique, the background is hand quilted using a echo quilting technique, inspired by Hawaiian traditional quilting. The back of the pillow matches the applique fabric with buttons, so that the cover can be removed for laundering. The pillow insert is custom made using 100% organic cotton muslin, filled with organic kapok. 

There are two other size Monstera leaf pillows as well as a full size quilt.
