The vaquita pillow starts with a white linen background with a hand-appliqued grey vaquita. The applique is grey linen, hand stitched with an embroidered eye. The background is hand stitched in an echo quilting pattern which ripples around the applique. The back matches the applique color with coconut shell buttons, so that the cover can be removed for laundering. The pillow insert is custom-made using 100% organic cotton muslin, filled with organic kapok.

Because the vaquitas are extremely endangered, the profits from the sale of this pillow will be donated to the Sea Shepherd Conservation Society, who are working to save them from illegal fisheries and gill nets.
