I started making these hemp bags after my daughter and I were talking about the plastic problem when buying and storing produce. But, after having them around for a while, I’ve realized how many other things they can be used for. Granted, tiny pieces will fall through, but sometimes that’s a good thing when you are at the beach and are gathering shells, stones, or toys. That means more sand left at the beach and less in your car! Or if you want to be able to keep items separated.

Or here’s an option to using single-use plastic bags when you are buying your fruits and veggies!! A bag made from 100% hemp mesh, sewn with cotton thread with organic cotton ties. This bag is sewn with red cotton thread identifying that this bag is 6” wide and 5 1/2” deep. The size is made for the smaller items like ginger, garlic, turmeric or fresh herbs, to make sure they don’t get lost in your grocery bag. The tie is run through a casing so that the bag can be closed. The bag can be dampened, if necessary, to keep more fragile produce fresh.

This is the smallest of the bags available; the other sizes are green edge (13” x 17”), blue edge (13” x 13”), and yellow edge (10”x 9”).
